As part of Sing Up, the Music Manifesto's National Singing programme, Reem conducts a series of workshops on Arabic and Palestinian singing across Lincolnshire. Organised by Serious in conjunction with Soundlincs, the workshops are aimed at schoolchildren, teachers and music practioners, and were hosted variously at:

The Drill Hall, Lincoln

The Guildhall Arts Centre, Grantham.

Accompanied by Reem's trio, comprising David Beebee on piano and electric fretless bass, Ian East on saxophones, flute and zurna, and Patrick Illingworth on drums.

Reem will be working with Gaelic singer Catriona Watt and other Gaelic musicians to produce and perform a new arrangement of a traditional Gaelic song. The collaborative effort will form part of a series of programmes about Gaelic music which is to be broadcast on the new Gaelic digital television channel in the autumn.

With David Beebee on piano and fretless bass, and Fariborz Kiani on percussion.

Reem Kelani and Liana: live performance

With funding from The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation & Visiting Arts of a project called “From Palestine to Portugal” which will see Reem Kelani collaborating with the young Fado singer Liana Costa and exploring the historical links between Arabic and Fado music.This project will have its world premiere at Musicport Festival, the organisers of which are very excited at the prospect as it was as a result of Reem’s previous appearance at the festival that the idea for this project came about.

2008 is the 60th anniversary of the 'nakba' (the catastrophe) when thousands of Palestinians were forced to flee their homes in the wake of the establishment of the state of Israel and this concert is dedicated to them.
